PLACEMENT PORTAL
UI/UX Design
A platform where students can manage and track their application process, administrators can keep track of the system, and recruiters can find the best candidates.
Given the growing student population and the busy nature of the application procedure on the part of the applicants, it is challenging for the authorities to gather, manage, and update student data. Therefore, a portal is required to administer the process centrally.

Competitor Analysis
SWOT Analysis
I looked at a few of the existing placement portals and identified the gaps in the present framework. A few I studied are direct competitors like VIT, RVCE, etc. and other indirect competitors like LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, etc. I analyzed these apps in terms of their features, target audience, unique value proposition and their UX and UI. I discovered a few gaps based on my personal observations and app ratings, such as-
The user interface is boring, there are less filters to help you find the right job, the navigation is poor, some features can only be accessed by purchasing an expensive premium account, there is no feature to manage applications, updating resumes is difficult, etc.
Stakeholders
Studying the stakeholders is crucial since it clarifies how the features will affect the users. This enables you to make the best choices for the users.
Problem Statement
Both the college administration and the students have a difficult time finding placements. Given the growing student population and the busy nature of the application procedure on the part of the applicants, it is challenging for the authorities to gather, manage, and update student data.
Therefore, a portal is required to administer the process centrally.
New Features
For admin
Digital Data analysis of the academic year- Both the administration office and the students have access to a digital report through the admin portal.
For students
Application Handling Portal- A portal where you can create applications, manage resume and portfolios, and manage your cover letters under one roof instead of using multiple software.
Tracking Applications- A portal where applications may be tracked, reducing the amount of questions the administrator must field.
Selecting pre-saved Cover letters- Students will only need to select and change one of their saved cover letters for each position before submitting it to various employers.
Multiples filters for easing up the process of searching for jobs- There are numerous filters available to help you identify the job opportunity that is best suitable for you.
Alumni Board- There are two advantages. In order to fill vacancies and aid their juniors in obtaining experience, the alumni can list their projects online and the students can get in touch with them.
